Bird is right though, if a story is only ever told from one side, then that side is the only thing others will see.  For me its important to stand up to bullies, and  Karen is just that.

"The issue will blow over soon"... if only that could be true in all cases, but if others refuse to let things go, it by default will mean you are disallowed from letting it go, because you are still being involved..., all a matter of if they continue to forcibly take action against you, what makes it worse is if they also seek to deprive you of any means to defend yourself.  If you let things lie, then they will get away with everything.  In the case of the VN here at least there is chance for things to work out.  Often though words and feigned sympathies don't do a damn though, if no one is willing to actually try to help, let alone your assailant be deaf from the start.  Always something shady going on with those who iron fist things.

These are things most people ignore or turn a blind eye to out of fear.  For me in general is that it is not a matter of right or wrong, it is a matter of behavior and mannerisms and their impacts.  I seek and desire for balance, but that only works if both sides can be understood.  Find a middle ground, a compromise, else permit matters to be dropped.
